The Journal of Childhood Studies, Special Issue: Epistemic Injustice
A dialogue with the guest editors and contributors of the Journal of Childhood Studies special issue on epistemic injustice in early childhood education and care. This special issue considers how epistemic injustice is enacted within our various personal, collective, research, and academic settings as we seek to advocate for a range of diverse and subjugated knowledges within early childhood education and care settings. We will discuss how Miranda Fricker's (2007) work on epistemic injustice has informed our writing, research, and pedagogical praxes and the possibilities for ongoing dialogue and relationalities from both within and outside the dominance of developmental hegemonies in early childhood education and care.
