To submit a CAYC mini-blog
The CAYC mini-blog is a conversational forum where CAYC members can contribute to a growing dialogue relevant to children and to childhood issues.
Submissions may include:
- Opinion pieces on local, regional and national current issues of concern to early childhood education;
- Reflections on pedagogies;
- Reflections about relevant events related to children and to childhood issues.
- The mini blog aims to provoke thought and to create a culture of discussion among colleagues.
The CAYC miniblogs are open access and will be hosted on the CAYC website. Submissions should be sent to info@cayc.ca for consideration and editorial review.
Criteria for submission
CAYC members across Canada are invited to submit to the mini-blog. If you are interested in writing a mini-blog, please consider the following criteria:
- Mini-blogs should be between 250/350 words;
- Have a title of approximately 150 characters;
- Include one or two questions to promote discussion and engagement;
- Include relevant picture(s);
- Include references;
- Include a short author’s bio (approx. 50 words);
- Include an author’s statement with proof of permission to use and publish the picture;
- If the miniblog includes children's quotes, comments, or personal experiences, please provide an author's statement confirming that permission has been obtained to use and publish this content.
